Strictly Nugent – The review

Cllr Roz Gladden – Lord Mayor of Liverpool joined 10 other amateur dancers at Strictly Nugent at Liverpool Town Hall on Sat 26th November.

Roz Gladden with Tutor Marcel and Sponsors Lynbrook Director, Ian Hayman.

This inaugural Strictly Nugent, sponsored by Lynbrook, was a spectacular event, from the minute the guests starting arriving to the announcements of the winners, Liverpool Town Hall was buzzing with excitement.

The audience, made up of friends, family and colleagues of the dancers, came to see the 11 amateurs partnered up with a trained dancer to showcase dances from the last 135 years.

Folowing the meal provided by Carrington’s Catering, they where up on thier feet for 2 and a 1/2 hours cheering and dancing in support. The atmosphere was electric.

The dancing itself was exceptional, with all couples really having gone to great lengths to bring style, pazzaz and professionalism to thier perfromances. That included the costumes, hair and make up, which where amazing, and added to the real ‘Strictly’ feel of the night.

Roz Gladden Said ‘It was really exciting to be dancing in the Ballroom at Liverpool’s Town Hall, a dream come true, but most of all I’m proud to be able to support Nugent in its valuable work helping the most vulnerable people in the city.’

The event has been organised by Nugent to raise vital funds for vulnerable children and adults across Liverpool.

The 11 Dancers competed for two Strictly Nugent Champions Awards – The Judges’ Winner and The Audience’s Winner.
