At Nugent, our mission is to provide compassionate care, support, and opportunities to vulnerable individuals and families in need.
Our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement is deeply ingrained in our organisational values.
Compliance and standards
We adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, to maintain compliance with Charity Commission, Care Quality Commission, and OFSTED requirements. Our policies and procedures are designed to meet or exceed these requirements, ensuring the safety and well-being of the people we support and our team.
Continuous improvement
Nugent believes in a culture of continuous improvement. We encourage feedback from those we support, team members, and stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement. By regularly reviewing our processes and policies, we aim to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of our services.
Team training and development
Our team is essential to achieving our quality objectives. We invest in their training and development to ensure they possess the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to deliver exceptional services and support.
Monitoring and evaluation
We have robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to monitor risk and assess the quality and impact of our programs and services. Through data-driven analysis, we identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement, enabling us to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions.

Governance
and oversight
Governance is a methodology and system that establishes a framework for managing Nugent. It sets out who can make decisions, who has the authority to act on behalf of the charity, and who is accountable for how the charity and its people operate and perform.
Governance enables the Trustees and Executive Leadership Team to operate the charity legally, ethically, sustainably, and successfully, for the benefit of the people we support, our team, and other stakeholders, and positively impact the wider community.
Nugent’s governance framework sets out to cultivate and embed a true culture of excellence by ensuring the organisation uses clear decision-making processes, operates transparently with regulators and stakeholders, identifies and manages risks, as well as protecting those in our care, and the overall reputation of the charity. Nugent’s governance framework is responsive to change, with new strategies such as those covering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and Environment, Social and Governance, falling within its remit.
