Lime Grove Cottage is a new 3 bed residential provision that focuses on supporting children and young people with mild to moderate learning difficulties, physical disabilities, are neuro-diverse and/or have mental health needs.
We are currently recruiting for Child Care Workers who will be responsible for providing outstanding care to the children and young people, treating them with dignity and respect.
As a Child care worker, you must be optimistic and compassionate about the care you provide, promoting good childcare practices through the provision of a caring environment for the children in accordance with the home’s statement of purpose and function, and in line with Nugent’s core values.
The overriding principle is that the children we care for should have an experience that is as enjoyable as possible, in a safe, healthy and relaxed environment which enables them to reach their full potential.
The successful candidates will have a Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People’s workforce or equivalent or a willingness to work towards this, which will be funded via an accredited Apprenticeship.

We are currently recruiting for: Support Worker

Location of role: Billinge, Wigan
We are very excited to be opening a new supported living service in the Billinge, Wigan area, supporting adults with various levels of needs. We will have on-site facilities within our community hub and are looking for people to bring that extra something within the work that they will be doing.

We are currently recruiting for: Adoption Support Social Worker
Hours of work: 37 Hours

Adoption Support Social Worker post
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Adoption Support Social Worker to join Nugent’s small and friendly Adoption team. The post holder will also provide support and intervention to adoptive families including Theraply, DDP and Therapeutic Life Story Work as well as access to records and intermediary service to adoptees and birth families when required. (Training and support will be provided for this where necessary). The post holder may be required to contribute to post approval training events for adopters and will undertake commissioned pieces of work such as Access to Records and the production of Life Story Work.
The role will be based in St Helens but with hybrid working and travel throughout the UK when required.
The Successful Applicant:
The role would suit an experienced children’s adoption support social worker. We may consider a more generical qualified social worker with other relevant previous experience. The Role:
At Wadham road, our dedicated staff work on a rota basis to support five beneficaries with learning difficulties. The successful candidates will protect their dignity when providing the care they require and ensure that they have life fulfilment.
Experience of working with People with a learning disability and complex needs will be an advantage and you must be able to demonstrate compassion, dedication and flexibility at all times. Each beneficiary has a Community Pathway that is a clear structure in assisting staff when supporting a person.
Good listening and communication skills with people with a learning disability. Ability to encourage and enable service users to make choices and take control of their lives, and increase independence. Ability to assist Service Users in all areas of personal care in ways that maintain independence, privacy and dignity. Lime House provides residential support and care in a home from home environment for elderly people including 11 places for individuals with dementia.

We are now recruiting for teaching assistants to help support our young people with their educational provision both in the classroom or external to the school.
Nugent House School is the main education element of Nugent Care, one of the largest charities in the Liverpool City Region, focused on supporting those in need. The charity goes back 140 years, founded by Father James Nugent, an early advocate of social justice in the city.
Nugent House School is an independent special school, registered for up to 60 students aged between 7 and 19.
Pupils are referred to the school by their local authorities in response to their needs not being met in other educational provisions. We currently have students referred from the vast majority of ‘close’ local authorities (St. Helens, Warrington, Knowsley, Lancashire, Halton, Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton & Trafford) as well as further afield (L.B. Newham). Many students have experienced significant negative prior experiences of education, including extensive periods of non-attendance.
All students at the school are placed with an EHCP, with SEMH identified as the primary placement need.
We offer education to a wide range of pupils with a variety of additional needs. We take great pride in helping them achieve their potential and support them either on a one to one basis or within a small group.
Responsibilities and Duties:
We are looking to recruit an HLTA to work with the pupils and students. Working alongside teachers, therapists and other support staff, you will provide support to groups and individuals, providing interventions and supporting them in their specific needs. The role is a key on is supporting the Children & Young People throughout the school day whilst promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
The primary role is to give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

Chester Outreach Support service provides support to individuals living in the community who have or are experiencing mental health issues. The service operates across a seven day week and is based on needs assessments. Support is provided in line with agreed social care assessments and individualised support and risk plans.
At the service we enable people to have an opportunity to integrate into community and form meaningful relationships. The service aims to reduce people’s mental health issues working alongside social workers and community mental health teams. We provide support that is centred around people’s experiences of living within a community and typical support provided is activities, support to manage tenancies including managing finances and bill payments, medication management, shopping, and household tasks. There is a great emphasis on health and wellbeing with this service.
Staff are provided with full induction and mandatory training, including tailored training based on service user requirements. We also compliment learning and development with qualifications and learning that will support a person to build a career in Health and Social Care.
