Good Shepherd Appeal 2023

The Good Shepherd Lenten Collection was started in 1902 by Father James Nugent, making this year 121 years of the appeal.

Primary and Secondary schools across the Archdiocese are invited to take part and raise money for Nugent. The schools come together in our Good Shepherd masses in June to present their fundraising cheques to Nugent as well as take part in the mass through singing, reading and helping with communion.

When: The appeal runs from Ash Wednesday (Wednesday 22nd February) to Easter Sunday (Sunday 9th April).

Masses:

10:30am on Wednesday 14th June 2023 at St Mary’s Church, Leyland led by TBC.

11am on Wednesday 28th June 2023 at the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral led by Archbishop Malcolm McMahon.
