Good Shepherd Appeal 2023

The Good Shepherd Lenten Collection was started in 1902 by Father James Nugent, making this year 121 years of the appeal.

Primary and Secondary schools across the Archdiocese are invited to take part and raise money for Nugent. The schools come together in our Good Shepherd masses in June to present their fundraising cheques to Nugent as well as take part in the mass through singing, reading and helping with communion.

If your school is taking part in our appeal, please share your Good Shepherd news using #nugentgs and tag us in, @wearenugent, and we will share your stories!

This year, our Good Shepherd Appeal begins on Ash Wednesday (Wednesday 22nd February) to Easter Sunday (Sunday 9th April).
