Phil Thompson Golf Classic success.
Glorious weather, a great golf course and a very entertaining guest speaker, all helped to make the day a success.
It all came together beautifully for our teams yesterday at Houghwood Golf, for our 18 hole golf classic hosted by our Patron Phil Thompson, sponsored by David M Robinson Jewellery & Watches.
The 88 players in 22 teams enjoyed a full day, starting with bacon barms, before a shotgun start at 12, for 4 hours on the greens of the fabulous Houghwood. The weather was perfect!
The evening dinner was followed by entertainment from comedian Willie Miller and a surprise guest, Liverpool Legend, the Great Dane, Jan Molby.
The evening auction and raffle raised in excess of £8,000 which will support the health and well-being project being initiated by the young people living at Nugent House residential. They are looking to buy bikes, and create a workshop to enable them to improve thier health and fitness through cycling.
