Helping people live successfully in the community

The New Beginnings Service supports individuals who are homeless, or having housing issues, experiencing domestic violence issues, ex offenders, people with mental health issues and/or histories of alcohol and drug dependency, minority communities, including asylum seekers.

We provide support for individuals across Liverpool City areas that are living in temporary accommodation such as homeless centres or supported accommodation who require resettlement support. We can offer homeless prevention support which is provided across Liverpool to people who are homeless or at
risk of homelessness.

Nugent have long term experience working with those experiencing drug/alcohol addiction, mental health, domestic abuse, those at risk from being trafficked, and Refugees and our team are skilled in assessing the
level of support required for each client.

We assist with resettling, form filling, life skills, budgeting and maximising benefit claims, sign posting and liaising with other agencies, registering and accessing property pool plus, safeguards and stabilising to manage crisis, payment plans for bills and debt, LCSS applications, social isolation and involvement in training and education or employment.

The short-term supported accommodation service has an expected length of stay of up to six months to enable service users to gain independence and control over their lives to move on and resettle into their own permanent home/tenancy.

Nugent focuses on enabling people to obtain and maintain their accommodation live successfully in the community and develop the skills individuals need to improve their life opportunities.

We achieve this through direct support, advocacy, and liaison with statutory, voluntary, specialist and community resources.

Becoming a tenant for those we support can involve major changes for those we support and can be stressful.
