Free School Meals for All

At Nugent, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Having access to the essentials, including a nutritious meal during the school day, can play an important part in helping children feel supported, included and ready to learn.

That is why Nugent is supporting the National Education Union’s No Child Left Behind campaign, which is calling for Free School Meals for all primary school children in England.

As an organisation rooted in compassion, dignity and social justice, we understand the pressures that children, young people and families can face. Supporting this campaign reflects our commitment to helping create a society where every child has the foundations they need to flourish.

Join the National Day of Prayer

On Sunday 27 September, churches and faith communities across the country are being invited to come together in prayer for Free School Meals for All.

Taking place as the Labour Party Conference begins in Liverpool, the National Day of Prayer offers an opportunity to reflect on the action needed to promote greater justice, dignity and equality for children and families.

Change can begin within our communities, and faith communities have a powerful role to play in bringing people together around issues that matter.

We invite our colleagues, supporters and communities to take part and help shine a light on children who may still be missing out on a hot, nutritious school meal and families experiencing financial pressures.
