At Lime House, it is always encouraged to personalise rooms with pictures, comfy chairs, and favourite soft furnishings. To replicate a home away from home environment, our facility is readily equipped with TVs, Freeview servicing, telephone access and Wi-Fi.
Residents are consulted on the types of food that they like to eat and they also help to prepare their own menu. We also encourage the people we support to self-medicate, with additional help from our team where needed. An on-site hairdressing facility and snack station offering home-cooked food are also available, further replicating normal life in safe, monitored surroundings.
Therapeutic services at Lime House
We provide excellent care in homely, pleasant surroundings offering privacy and independence in residents’ everyday activities.
A state-of-the-art sensory garden has been expertly constructed at the rear of the facility to enable opportunities for residents to relax and take time out in a safe, tranquil setting with plenty of seating to enjoy the sun. Residents are equipped with individualised programmes of care and activities are promoted within the home as well as the local community.
The home is very much a part of the local community of Lowton, Wigan. Friends, families and volunteers are always welcome and are crucial assets to the therapeutic environment we provide, as many people we support choose to utilise our family spaces for that home-away-from-home feel.
